Your Family Music School and Instrument Store
At The Piano Studio, we love making music and our goal is to help you learn to love making music too! We have two full-service music schools serving Aurora, Newmarket, and the surrounding area. We can teach you how to play or take your playing to the next level! We also sell good-quality musical instruments such as pianos from Roland, guitars, and violins, plus books and accessories so we have everything you need to help you along your musical journey.
History of The Piano Studio
Jeanne Fast, the founder of The Piano Studio, worked in music education and retail for 25 years and often dreamed of doing things a better way. Her dream became a reality in 1997 when she started The Piano Studio out of the basement of her home. It quickly grew and in 1998 she opened her first music school and piano store on Main St. in Newmarket. Her daughter Elise joined her the next year and her husband Rudy also joined the business in 2000. Both the school and retail store continued to thrive and the business relocated to larger premises on Davis Dr. in 2004. Jeanne also opened a second location on Industrial Parkway in Aurora in 2002 and expanded that location in 2008. Jeanne’s son Jordan joined as well for a few years in 2006. Jeanne’s son Jared joined in 2010 so the entire family has worked in the business at some point. The Newmarket school relocated to its current location on Leslie St. in 2014.
The Piano Studio has expanded its lesson programs over the years to include piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice, flute, and ukulele. We run group programs for young beginners, a String Ensemble, Glee Club, Guitar Ensembles, and Rock Bands. We also sell entry-level digital pianos from Roland plus guitars, violins, ukuleles, music books, and accessories.

Today The Piano Studio remains a family business in the hands of two of the founder’s children Jared Fast and Elise Ainley. We remain dedicated to providing the best possible music lesson experience to our students each week teaching all levels from beginners to advanced students. “I signed my boys up for a 6 week trial for piano lessons and 3 years later they are still taking piano lessons as well as guitar and drums.
The teachers at The Piano Studio are amazing and we seem to have found teachers that fit perfectly with both our boys’ different learning styles.
