Junior Musicians Class
A fun and engaging group music class for children ages 4-5
In the Junior Musicians program, The Piano Studio’s highly trained teachers introduce our youngest students to the joy of music using wonderful resources and materials. Our Junior Musicians program is based on the “Music For Little Mozarts” curriculum, published by Alfred Music; students will join characters Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear as they explore the world of music.
About the program
The program is designed for 4 and 5 year-olds who are in JK or SK. It is a weekly, 45-min group class, for 18 weeks. The program consists of two sessions, after which time students are ready for private lessons.
Each 45-minute lesson will include activities such as:
- Singing
- Fun with rhythm instruments
- Movement & dancing
- Time spent at the keyboard (one in the class for each child)
Students will be introduced to basic musical elements such as:
- Rhythm notation
- Dynamics
- Keyboard geography
- Introduction of the staff
The course consists of two levels, offered from Sep-Jan and Feb-Jun.
