We have options for a private one-on-one lesson with curriculum specifically for adults so you can learn at your own pace, or enjoy learning socially together with other adult students in one of our group classes.

Adult Private Lessons
The Piano Studio offers the highest quality private music lessons based on our belief that music is fun and can be learned and enjoyed by everyone, no matter their age. We are family owned and operated with studio locations in Newmarket and Aurora. Our adult private lesson programs include piano, guitar, drums, violin, voice, and more. We offer 30- and 60-minute lessons and typically recommend 30 minutes for beginners.
Choose from a fixed weekly schedule – which means you will have a private music lesson once a week on the same day, at the same time, and with the same teacher – or choose no-commitment, ad-hoc booking to suit your busy schedule.

Are you available during the early afternoon? If so, you can save by booking in our off-peak times! This is a great option for seniors, retirees, or those with flexible work-from-home schedules.
To receive this discount you can enroll for weekly lessons and set up monthly pre-authorized payments, OR you can prepay for a package of 10 lessons and then book one at a time to suit your schedule.

Six Lesson Trial Package
Try private music lessons before investing in an instrument.
This package includes six private music lessons and the loan of an instrument for the trial period. Should you choose to continue beyond the initial six lessons, you may keep the same day, time, and teacher. The Six Lesson Trial Package is available for Piano, Guitar, Drums, and Violin.
Adult Group Lessons
Adult Guitar Ensemble
Our Adult Guitar Ensemble is a fun group class for beginner to intermediate students. It includes several acoustic guitar students and also those providing drum, bass, and piano accompaniment.
Learn to play guitar together with other students in a relaxed environment. Students will learn different guitar parts including chords, melody, and multiple harmony lines and how to put them all together. The ensemble will work towards performing at our Adult Recital, a wonderful opportunity to play for family & friends in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
Students are required to have at least one year of lessons, or be able to play chords and read and play simple single-note lines.

Enrich your life with Music!
Staying active and learning new skills boosts both body and mind. This weekly class blends movement, music, and connection, led by caring instructors who create a fun, supportive community.
Classes will include:
- Body percussion – helps with balance & coordination
- Music history & appreciation – discover new musical styles, genres, & composers
- Intro to music theory – learn some fundamentals to enhance music understanding
- Singing – new and familiar tunes to boost mood & energy
- Active listening – listening with intention helps keep the mind sharp
Body, Mind & Music Class Details

Adult Vocal Ensemble
A vocal ensemble for adults who want to harmonize and energize with popular and alternative choral music!
If you love to sing with friends, this is the vocal ensemble for you! Meeting once a week, we will choose songs together, make them our own, and later collaborate with the Adult Band for multi-year performances. All levels of musical experience are welcome. Let’s sing together!

Adult Recitals
For those students who want to share their music we provide special recitals and performance opportunities for our adult students. Share your music for friends, family, and fellow students in a small, intimate and very encouraging and supportive atmosphere!
