Violin Lessons
Our violin program is comprehensive, rigorous, and a lot of fun!
The violin is a beautiful instrument and we would love to help you learn to play. Our highly-qualified teachers will show you proper posture, playing technique, and the fundamentals of music theory, all while playing fun songs. Our violin lessons can prepare you for RCM exams or customize a program based on your musical interests, from classical to fiddling.

Learn to play the violin with us!
The violin is an enjoyable, yet challenging instrument. With lots of playing and the help of our amazing teachers we will help you make beautiful music. We recommend students begin learning to play the violin at age 6. For students aged 4-5 we recommend completing our Junior Musicians Program before proceeding into private violin lessons. However we recognize that some 5 year-olds are ready to start with private violin lessons and are happy to provide a free assessment to determine which program is best for your child. We offer a String Ensemble program as well which is a lot of fun and gives students the chance to play with others.
How do private lessons work?
Fixed, weekly schedule
We run a fixed, weekly schedule which means you will have a private music lesson once a week on the same day, at the same time, and with the same teacher each week. We offer 30 and 60 minute lessons, and typically recommend 30 minutes for beginners.
Start anytime
You can begin private music lessons any time, and we just ask for two weeks notice to withdraw from the program. Our regular schedule runs from September-June, and we have a separate summer schedule for July-August.
Instrument for practicing
Students require an instrument to practice on at home in between lessons. If you don’t have an instrument, we offer a Six Lesson Trial Package which includes lessons and a rental instrument. We offer instruments for sale or rent after the trial, or anytime.
In-person or online
Lessons can be booked for in-person or online, and can be changed from one format to the other any time.
